Why Do Kamui™ Tips grip onto chalk?

Kamui™ Tips of Japan, the manufacturer, set out to develop a tip that is for the serious billiards player. Through long research and extensive testing, they figured out what was wrong with all the other tips out there and came up with a formula which allows the Kamui™ tip to grip onto the chalk.

How, you ask? The exact process is secret but the end result is simple. The Kamui™ tip's 10 layers are glued together without the porosity of the pig skin being affected by the gluing process. This special process leaves the pores of the pig skin open, allowing the chalk to penetrate the surface enough to really hold onto chalk.

What does all of this mean? A tip that can hold or "grip" chalk is a tip that helps you get the most out of your shot.
